Blake Armendariz started photography when he was just 13 years old with an iPhone 4. As time went on, he began learning about the intricacies of photography. Lighting, composition, storytelling, and technique to name a few. Blake has studied many of photography’s greatest artists in order to learn what makes a great photograph. He has studied for years and he believes now is time to take his passion to the next level.

Blake hopes by creating his own website to display his work, that he can show the world his artwork in a new light. “Nobody takes you serious when all you have is an instagram page. And in the social media era people will swipe without even looking at the artwork that you spent hours on. It’s disheartening and I want to be taken seriously in this field. I’ve put the hours in, I deserve that.” Blake says.

For a long time, Blake did not want to monetize his greatest joy out of fear he would loose his passion. But as he himself says “I have accumulated a great body of work, and I continue to do so. It would be a waste of talent and hard work to keep my portfolio hidden from the world".

Blake currently lives in Raleigh, NC, but considers Seattle, WA his second home. He is currently working as a Medical Assistant at a Dermatology office. Blake is also working towards his Associate of Science degree, as he enjoys learning about Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in his free time. He hopes to one day pursue a career in medicine.
